Harold L. Swart

Harold L. Swart, “Harry” to his friends, died Thursday afternoon, October 29, 2015 in the home of his beloved friend and companion Denice Rhoads at the age of 76.

Harry was born in Schenectady, New York and spent his life as a father, musician and soul singer. He was known for his devotion to his children, for his powerful soulful voice, and an infectious and boisterous laugh that could be recognized in any crowd. He remained active in the Bucks and Lehigh County  community of musicians until his death.

Harry died five years after the devastating heart attack that everyone said should have taken his life in 2010. Every day after that was a bonus, and he used those days to the fullest. He lived life and gave his gift for music and his soulful voice. He worked like no one ever worked continuing to the day he left us.

He is survived by his daughter Tara Spencer, niece Abigail Spencer, and sons Steven, Jared and Timothy Swart.
 
Funeral Services will be held graveside at Greenwood Cemetery, at the corner of Albright and Chew Streets in Allentown, PA at 12:00pm on Saturday, November 7, 2015. (in front of mausoleum).
Additionally, a Memorial Musicians Jam will be held in his honor at the Riegelsville Tavern, 1274 Easton Rd, Riegelsville, PA 18077 on Wednesday, November 11th beginning at 8:00pm.
