Arline (Garrah) Best, 85, of Allentown entered the Kingdom of Heaven on Mar. 30, 2015. She was the wife of the late Earl A. Best who passed away in 1998. Born in Wilkes Barre, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Mary Garrah. She was a member of St. Mary's Antiochian Orthodox Church, Wilkes Barre. Arline was employed as a waitress at Saylor's Restaurant for many years, and later worked at the Damascus Restaurant, both in Allentown. She was a Judge of Election in the 12th Ward.

Survivors: sons Carl L. Best of Allentown; Dr. Allen E. Best of Los Angeles and Norman R. Best of Northampton; brother John Garrah of Wilkes Barre and sister Barbara Milbrodt of Lower Macungie Twp; six wonderful grandchildren.

Services:  11:00 Thursday, April 2 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown. Calling hours 6-8 p.m. Wednesday and 10 to 11 Thursday in the funeral home.  Interment following at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown.

Contributions: in lieu of flowers, to the American Cancer Society.  The family wishes to extend their gratitude to the health care professionals and volunteers at Lehigh Valley Hospital Inpatient Hospice for their compassionate care and support in Arline's final days.
