Barbara Jane Wolf Greenawalt was born in Allentown, PA on January 7, 1940 and passed away peacefully on Friday, April 12, 2024 at the age of 84.  She was the elder daughter of the late Rollin L. and Elizabeth Marjorie Kitchin Wolf. After having been graduated from Parkland High School, PA in 1957, she attended Albright College (1957-1959).

Barbara worked in the finance and computer offices of Swann Oil, Lehigh Valley Dairy, Chain Bike Corp (also known as Ross Bicycles) and International Multifoods Corp.  However, her real passion was mastering the art of winning contests, resulting in a multitude of prizes, including $17,500 cash from a 1961 national contest, two trips to Hawaii, a new kitchen and many, many other prizes. Despite her health issues most of her life, she can best be remembered as a happy, joyful person and very devoted to her family and friends in PA, NC, TX and CA.

Barbara is survived by her spouse of 50 years, James Morris Greenawalt of Northampton, PA, her sister Carolyn Wolf Spanier-Ladwig and husband Lee Ladwig of Arcadia, CA, her elder daughter Julia Anderson-Smith and husband Ron S. Smith of Houston, TX, her younger daughter Rebecca Angione and husband Corrado Angione of Catasauqua, PA, her step-daughters, Joanne Greenawalt Snyder and husband Steve Snyder of New Tripoli, PA, Rene Greenawalt Snyder and husband Greg Snyder of New Tripoli, PA,  Jenny Greenawalt Miller and husband Carl Miller of New Tripoli, PA and Heidi Greenawalt Devlin and Thorn Devlin of Tamaqua, PA, 22 grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren.

On Thursday, April 18, 2024 Barbara's funeral will take place at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 Hamilton Street, Allentown, PA with visiting hours from 10-11 a.m. and the memorial service thereafter, followed by the interment at Greenwood Cemetery, 2010 W. Chew Street, Allentown, PA.

In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations to one's favorite charity. The suggestion of the family would be the American Diabetes Association.
