Kristin E. Andres (Anderson)

Kristin Andres (Anderson), 49, of Slatington passed away September 9th. She was the wife of the late Francis L. Andres, Jr. 

Born in Tucson, AZ, she was the much loved daughter of Barbara (Montgomery) Anderson of Charlotte, NC and Mark A. Anderson of Macungie. She worked as a customer service representative for Omnicare Pharmacy, a CVS Health company for four years.

Kristin lived in  Matthews NC for 12 years working at Best Friends Pet Care and later as a stay-at-home mom.

Kris graduated from Bethlehem Catholic High School 1989. She  attended 4 years on Penn State University main campus graduating 1993 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

She was an 11 year member of Girl Scouts receiving the silver achievement award. Kristin was selected to be a member of the Wider Opportunity Program patrol attending "Our Cabana" in Mexico helping to build homes for families in need. In preparation for her travels, she completed a full immersion Spanish camp at Millersville University.  She enjoyed as a graduation gift  from her grandmother, Helen Anderson, a tour of Spain and Portugal with her.

Kristin loved reading, movies, motorcycles and especially animals in need of rescue. She loved music and had a strong piano foundation under studies with Dr. Debra Torok and Susan Herr. But her greatest love were her children whom she loved beyond measure.

She is survived by her parents; a son Zachariah Rauch and daughter Anayis Martir both of Audubon, Pa., step brother Samuel Lusareta of Allentown; step children Callista and Justin Andres and extended family.

Memorial visitation will be October 16th from 1:00 to 3:00 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 Hamilton St., Allentown. Family, friends and visitors are encouraged to locate memory books placed around the area and take time to write a memory in it of their friendship and love for Kristin. These books will  be given to her children Zachariah and Anayis to cherish and enjoy.
