Dr. Raymond P. Seckinger

Raymond P. Seckinger, born in Madera, PA, age 95 died on July 18, 2021 at Commonwealth Senior Living in Harrisburg, PA.  

He served as a Corporal in the U.S. Air Force from June 9, 1944 to October 31, 1945.  He then went on to become a family general practitioner graduating from Jefferson Medical School and established his own private practice on 2nd St. in Allentown.  He then chose to become a psychiatrist graduating from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.  He founded and was Medical Director of CTEC (Correlative Therapy Educational Center).  He then went on to establish a private practice.  He has had affiliations with Allentown Sacred Heart, Good Shepherd and held office as President and Historian of Lehigh Valley Psychiatric Society and the Lehigh Medical Society. 

He was married twice.   Joan Fisher with children Sharon, Robin and Timothy; and Lee Price with children Jonathan, Peter, Sarah and Rachel.  He excelled in sports (tennis, golf, billiards, swimming and biking).  He was a golden glove boxer in college.

His anchor in life was his religion. He valued all human life and dedicated his life to helping those who were less fortunate.  Everyone who knew him described him as a real gentleman, kind, gentle, fun and lovable.   

Funeral services will be open to the public and held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 Hamilton St., Allentown, PA.  Doors open 10:30 a.m. and service will be at 11:00. Directions at: www.AllentownFunerals.com.
