Mimi Simmons, 70, of Jim Thorpe passed away January 19th at St. Luke’s Hospital, Fountain Hill. She was the wife of Joseph Simmons for over 24 years. She was a waitress and baker for years at various Lehigh Valley restaurants, and was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church, Klecknersville.

Mimi is survived by her husband Joseph; sons Joseph Webber Sr. and wife Melissa, Adam Webber and Matthew Webber; her siblings William Senft and wife Linda, Marge Duffy and husband Jack, Paul Senft, Debbie Scholl and husband Scott, Sophie Glose, and Denise Kuntzman and husband Karl; eleven grandchildren and extended family. She was predeceased by her brother Daniel and sister Rose.

Mimi loved her family, her pets, and cooking. She was always a happy, caring person and would light up a room as soon as she entered. She had a remarkable way of making everyone feel special. Her greatest pleasure came from being a Grammy. The family will miss her terribly.

 

 

Services: viewing will be held starting at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 23rd in the church, 2715 Mountain View Drive, Bath (Klecknersville). Funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the church with interment following at Zion Stone Cemetery, Kreidersville.
