Jennifer Smyers
10/31/2018

Jen Smyers, 53, left this world on October 31, 2018. Her best friend and husband, Doug Golomb, was at her side. Born in Baltimore, Maryland, she was the daughter of Johanna (Barbarulo) Smyers and the late Charles Smyers of Lewistown, Pennsylvania.

Jen worked at Boyle Construction (which, through her recent illness, was the most understanding and supportive employer). She had been performing marketing for the architectural/engineering/construction industry for over 20 years, working for STV Engineering, MKSD Architects, NTM Engineering, and Boyle. She maintained a Certificate of Professional Services Marketing (CPSM) as her continuing education. She held a B.A. in English from Penn State University.

Her family who survives her are her husband, mother, sister Lynne Smyers and husband Joe DaCorta, sister Pamela and husband Kevin Murray, and nieces Juliana and Gabrielle Mannino.

Jen’s passion over the years was rescuing dogs and volunteering with local shelters and dog rescues. She encourages you to go adopt a dog, get some exercise, and find a new best friend.

Services: Relatives and friends are invited for the celebration of Jen’s life at Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St; (Sunday, Nov. 11 from 1:00–3:00 PM) in Allentown, PA. Directions at www.Allentownfunerals.com.
