Ernest (Ernie) Haddad

Ernest Haddad, 78, of Breinigsville, Pa., passed away Friday Mar. 9, 2012 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Twp.  He was the husband of Patti A. (Fowler) Haddad for 53 years.  Born in Allentown, he was the son of the late John Haddad and Norma (Davis) Haddad.  He was a graduate of Allentown High School.  He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps during the Korean War.  Ernie was employed by Bethlehem Steel in the Information Services dept. for 35 years.  He was a member of Trinity Baptist Church where he served as an usher for several years, and he was a volunteer for Everlasting Life Ministries food bank.  Ernie was a devoted husband and loving father.  He was an avid reader of military history, loved the opera, enjoyed sport shooting and was a big sports fan of the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers.

Survivors:  Wife Patti; sons Robert and wife Sharon of South Carolina, James of Glen Mills, Pa., and Thomas of Center Valley, Pa; sister Adele of Austin, TX, and five grandchildren.

Services:  Calling hours on Tuesday evening, March 13 in the Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, 1227 W. Hamilton St., Allentown followed by a prayer service at 7:30.  Private interment on Wednesday.
