William A. Kiefer

William A. Kiefer, 68, of Allentown, passed away Thursday, Jan. 19 at his residence.  He was the husband of Gloria (Zawick) Kiefer.  Born in Bethlehem, he was a son of the late Charles J. and Stella E. (Frey) Kiefer.  He was a veteran of the U.S. Coast Guard during Vietnam.
Mr. Kiefer drove a lunch truck in the Allentown area along the Lehigh Street Auto Mile for several years, and also worked for Keystone Automotive as a driver.  After retirement, Bill began tinkering with lawnmowers, buying and selling them from his home.  He soon became well known as "The Lawnmower Guy" of Lehigh Street.

Survivors:  Wife; sons Gary William of Philadelphia and Kevin Charles of Wyomissing; sisters Anna Febert and Shirley Miller; and his favorite brother in law, William E. Zawick.  He was predeceased by brothers Charles and George, and sisters Arlene and Margaret.

Services:  Memorial service at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 22, in the Se-Wy-Co Fire station, 3600 Route 378, Bethlehem, Pa. 18015 (Paragon Room).  Calling period one hour prior to the service.  The family is being served by the Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown
