Emile Elias Aoun

Emile Elias Aoun passed away in his home on Tuesday, January 5th at the age of 84 surrounded by his loving family.

Born on August 11, 1936 in Lebanon to the late Elias Boutros & Isabelle Aoun. One of 7 brothers and 1 sister, all residing in Lebanon, except for his brother Antoine Aoun.

He served 13 years with the Lebanese special forces.  He immigrated to the US with his family in late 1975.  He worked as industrial mechanic.  Emile was a warm man who loved unconditionally, who’s smile lit up the darkest room.  He was a loving husband, a great father, a loving grandfather, and great grandfather.  He was a supportive uncle, a loyal neighbor and a friend.

He is survived by by his wife of 57 years, Jamileh Shetayh Aoun.   He also leaves behind 4 children;  Rita Sisselberger (Michael), Elias Aoun (Tracy), Isabelle Khal (Jacque), Vivian Atiyeh (Wadih).  He was blessed with 11 grandchildren, and 1 great grandchild.  

He will be missed by all who knew him, his memories and his wisdom will be eternal.  So, until we meet again, may God cradle you in love eternally.

Services: viewing Saturday, Jan. 9th at 9:30 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, 501 Ridge Ave., Allentown followed by funeral service at 11:00 a.m. Burial following at Laurel Cemetery, Whitehall.
