Nikolaos "Nick" Andronis

Nikolaos “Nick” Andronis, 74, of Allentown passed away on January 9, 2018 at Lehigh Valley Hospital, Salisbury Township. He was the husband of Melpomeni “Mabel” (Esketzis) Andronis. They celebrated their 49th wedding anniversary on August 18, 2017.  Born May 16, 1943 in Filia, Mytilene, Greece, he was the son of the late Ioannis and Panorea Andronis. Nick was a baker at Plaky’s Bakery when he first came to the United States in 1968, and was employed by Cutler & Hammer as an Assembler for many years. Later in life, he was employed by Muhlenberg College, where he would retire in 2008. He was a faithful member of St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral and the Allentown Order of AHEPA.

Nikolaos will be lovingly remembered for his love and devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife; sons, John and wife Judi of Wescosville, and Leonidas “Leo” of Madrid, Spain; his cherished grandchildren, Nicholas, Elizabeth and Gabriela; brother, Therappe of Greece; sister-in-law Eleonora Hiotis and husband Efstratios of Greece; nieces, nephews and Godchildren. He is predeceased by his daughter-in-law Victoria and brother Stelios.

Services: viewing on Saturday, January 13 starting at 10:00 a.m. in St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Cathedral, 1607 W. Union Blvd., Bethlehem with funeral service at 11:00. Interment at Cedar Hill Memorial Park, Allentown. Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
