Carol Lynn (Smith) Lewis
09/08/2016

The lovely Carol Lynn (Smith) Lewis, peacefully, and surrounded by loving family and friends, passed away on September 8, 2016.

Carol was born on May 23, 1949 in Allentown to Randle R. and Mary E. Smith.  She is survived by her son, Brett Randall Lewis and brother, Lee Smith.

Carol was a graduate of Salisbury High School in 1967 and Upsala College in 1971. After graduation, Carol directed a local day care center. After that Carol decided to spread her wings and indeed she did.  She became a flight attendant with Capital International Airways and flew both domestic and international for 8 years. Carol loved this life and the friends she made became lifetime friends.

After her flying career, Carol went on to give 25 years to the Red Cross working for the Lehigh Valley Chapter (Valley Wide Help) in Allentown.  Work friends there also became life time friends.

Carol held her friends close as they did her.  She was a warm, loving and compassionate woman who cared not only about you but also about your family and your daily life.  She asked questions because she cared and remembered everything. She was the truest of friends and she will be dearly missed by all of those who held her near. Carol also loved the beach, especially Ocean City, NJ.

A memorial service to honor Carol’s life will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Sep. 24, 2016 at St. Timothy's Lutheran Church, 140 S. Ott Street, Allentown. Calling hours from 9:00 to 10:30 in the church. Interment following at Chestnut Hill Church Cemetery.

Contributions can be made to St. Timothy's Church (18104) or the Lehigh Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross, 3939 Broadway, Allentown Pa. 18104.  Arrangements by Nicos C. Elias Funeral Home, Allentown.
